One-to-One Pregnancy and Birth Support
Do you receive your maternity care at, or under Royal Derby Hospital? Would you like free support from a trained perinatal peer supporter?

Whether you would like someone to have a cuppa and a chat with, someone to support you at appointments or even someone to be there during your labour and birth. It’s your support, it’s flexible and it’s created with you in mind!

Our volunteers are non-judgemental and kind, they are there to support you through the highs and lows of pregnancy and early parenthood.

More information and our referral form for one to one support can be found here

As the core of our service is provided by volunteers, there may be times when our capacity is more limited, we will always do our best to offer something personalised to you. If you are unsure, please contact us for a chat.

Community Support
We run free, drop-in groups across Derby for pregnant parents and for parents with babies and young children. These are safe and supportive spaces where every new or expectant parent is made to feel welcome, have a hot drink and chat with our friendly peer supporters. View our current groups here.

Look out for Connected Peer Supporters at Royal Derby Hospital. We visit the maternity and postnatal wards regularly to meet parents, listen and provide support.
