Community Support

Come and join us! Our trained Perinatal Peer Support Volunteers create free, safe and supportive community spaces for all expectant and new parents.

           Whether it is a good day or a harder day, our kettle is on for you!            All sessions are free & you do not need to book, simply turn up! 

First time coming and feeling a little worried? Drop us a message and one of our friendly Peer Supporters can have a chat with you over text/call.

Any parent – whether you are pregnant, you are about to be a parent, have one baby or more’

Bump to Babies Coffee Morning 

Mondays, 10.00 am - 11.30 am 

@ Becket Family Hub, Stockbrook Street, DE22 3WT (Closed some school holidays and bank holidays) 

* FREE and no need to book

* Suitable from pregnancy and for parents/carers and children under 2

* Great place to meet other families

Bumps, Babies and Books, in partnership with Derby City Libraries  

Mondays, 2.30 pm-3.30 pm (after Rhyme Time at the library)

@ Normanton Library, Almond St, DE23 6LX (Closed some school holidays and bank holidays) 

* FREE and no need to book

* ALL parents and carers with bumps, babies or children welcome 

* Great place to meet other families in a relaxed space 

NICU Neomates Coffee Afternoon  

Tuesdays, 1.30 pm-2.30 pm

@ NICU, Derby Hospital

* For parents of neonatal babies on the NICU at Derby Hospital

* FREE, drop-in sessions with Connected Perinatal Peer Supporters and NICU staff

* Great to meet other families, chat and get support

Tea and Tots

Wednesdays, 12.30 pm -2.00 pm

@ Watermeadow Road Community Room, Alvaston, DE24 0TE

* FREE and no need to book

* Suitable for all families who are pregnant or have children under 5

* A relaxed and supportive place to meet other families

* Suitable for dads-to-be, new dads and dads with babies under 2

* Supportive and relaxed place to meet other Dads 

Dads' Space Evenings in partnership with Derby County Community Trust  

Thursdays, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm

@ Leisure United Derby Hub, Racecourse Playing Fields, St Marks Road, DE21 6AJ

* FREE and no need to book

* Suitable for new and expectant dads

* Expect 1 hour of football, 1 hour of social, refreshments provided and a chance to unwind

Derbyshire LGBT+ Family Sessions

A Connected Perinatal Peer Supporter will be available once per month at these warm and welcoming family sessions. For more information see Derbyshire LGBT+ Facebook Page
